This includes years in business, business and vendor references, and proof of liability insurance. Don, a past RCAT board member, holds both commercial and residential licenses through RCAT.

GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
General liability insurance provides coverage if the actions of the contractor or crew lead to property damage or injury to a non-worker.
Contractors are asked to produce certificates on a regular basis. If the company you’re dealing with cannot provide such coverage, it puts you at risk of not being able to recover the costs of damages or an accident associated with the job.
Without it, you could be held responsible for any injury or damage your contractor causes. Additionally, hiring a contractor without insurance limits your ability to remedy the damage caused by faulty construction.
